Why Work Together?

This practice is intentionally small. I keep a limited caseload so that each client receives focused, specialized care. Work here is tailored to both short-term and long-term goals. In our initial consultation, we outline what you hope to achieve and create a plan to help you reach it.

Sessions are fluid rooted in the eight phases of EMDR, yet flexible enough to meet you where you are. EMDR is effective for challenges of all levels from stressful life events and specific fears to deeper or long-standing trauma. I also work with clients who have experienced recent trauma, helping them move forward without getting stuck in it.

I primarily work with adults who feel stuck and have tried conventional approaches without success. This is not a “quick fix” space; meaningful change comes from reflection, awareness, and doing the work alongside guidance. Here, the focus is on gaining insight into how past experiences shape current beliefs and learning the tools you need to feel empowered and capable long after therapy ends.

By keeping the practice intimate, intentional, and structured, I create a space where work is deep, collaborative, and effective.

I’m Rachael, a licensed psychotherapist specializing in EMDR and trauma-informed care. My approach is straightforward, genuine, and flexible. I pay close attention to the nuances of your experience, keeping things real while helping you gain lasting insight and problem-solving skills.

I offer virtual sessions to clients in New Jersey, New York, Florida, and Maine, providing both short-term and long-term therapy options. My goal is to create a process that is tailored to your needs, grounded in evidence, and designed to help you leave therapy feeling more empowered.

I integrate EMDR with a relational, client-centered approach. Sessions are paced to match your readiness, and we maintain structure while leaving room for flexibility. Every problem you bring can be addressed, and clients leave therapy with tools to navigate future challenges independently.

My work is grounded in a belief that therapy should be meaningful, effective, and empowering not endless. You don’t have to be in therapy forever; the goal is sustainable change and personal growth.
