Ling “Joanna” Li is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a 50 hour basic trained EMDR practitioner. She received her Masters in Social Work from the University at Buffalo SUNY. Ling is trained in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She is in the process of pursuing her Certification in EMDR which means she is investing additional time, resources and effort into advancing her EMDR skills. Ling is licensed to practice in New York only at this time.
Ling is a strong advocate for her clients and their well-being. She has worked with individuals of all ages and backgrounds in medication-assisted treatment, intensive outpatient, and psychiatric emergency room settings. Ling is trauma-informed and culturally sensitive to clients’ identities and life experiences. She specializes in treating adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, panic disorder, PTSD, low self-esteem, grief and loss, relational issues, and life transitions. Ling helps individuals hone in on their strengths and believes in utilizing a holistic approach to help her clients achieve their goals.
Ling loves to be in nature, hiking, yoga, dancing, photography, and is a new fan of tennis.
